Why Estrelva

What makes the difference

Plain-language facilitation

Each session uses plain English throughout. Participants leave with the vocabulary to read official documentation on their own terms.

Small, considered cohorts

No large lecture rooms. Every programme is deliberately kept to a small group so discussion stays substantive and participants can ask their own questions.

Clearly educational scope

Estrelva programmes are reading and discussion groups. No product recommendations, no financial advice, no regulated services. The scope is kept clear from the outset.

Printed reference materials

Every programme includes printed materials — binders, workbooks, vocabulary cards — that participants take home and consult at their own pace.

Singapore-specific content

All reading material is drawn from Singapore public-sector documentation — CPF Board, MAS, HDB — relevant to residents navigating the local landscape.

Programmes built for 40+

The pace, the format, and the document selection reflect the questions that surface in mid-life — retirement horizon, household transition, and the paperwork that follows.

Next Cohort Forming

A reading programme at your own pace

Cohort sizes are small by design. If you would like to be considered for an upcoming programme, send us your details and we will be in touch with the schedule.

Questions & Answers

Common questions

What exactly happens in a reading group session?
Each session works through a set of publicly available documents — scheme guides, official leaflets, or sample statements. A facilitator reads through sections with the group, explains terms, and opens the floor to discussion. No presentations, no sales materials.
Are these programmes considered financial advice?
No. Estrelva programmes are reading and discussion groups, educational in scope. Facilitators do not recommend products, make projections, or offer any form of regulated financial advice. Participants who require personal advice are encouraged to engage a licensed financial adviser separately.
How do I register for a programme?
Use the contact form on this page or call +65 8316 9047 during office hours. We will confirm your interest, share the next available schedule, and send an enrolment note by email. Places are allocated on a first-come basis as cohorts fill.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are held at our reading room at 6 Shenton Way, #18-08, OUE Downtown, Singapore 068809. The venue is accessible by MRT (Tanjong Pagar / Downtown Line). Exact session times are shared on enrolment confirmation.
What is the refund policy if I cannot attend?
Participants who withdraw more than ten working days before a programme's first session receive a full refund. Withdrawals within ten working days are offered a transfer to the next available cohort. Please see our Terms & Conditions for the full policy.
What prior knowledge is needed to join?
None. The programmes are designed for adults who have encountered these documents but found them difficult to parse. The facilitator begins from the document's first page, and vocabulary is explained as it appears in the text.
How much do the programmes cost?
The Singapore Retirement Schemes Reading Group is S$870 for the four-week programme. The Household Budget Reading Workshop is S$185 for the weekend session. The Personal Document Reading Circle is S$280 for six sessions. All materials are included in the programme fee.
Is my personal information kept private?
Yes. Enrolment information is used only for programme administration and session communications. We do not share participant data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
