Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 May 2025 · Effective: 10 May 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and participation in the reading programmes and workshops offered by Estrelva ("we", "us", "our"), operated from 6 Shenton Way, #18-08, OUE Downtown, Singapore 068809. By submitting an enquiry, confirming enrolment, or attending a session, you agree to these terms.
1. Nature of Programmes
All Estrelva programmes — including the Singapore Retirement Schemes Reading Group, the Household Budget Reading Workshop, and the Personal Document Reading Circle — are educational in scope. Sessions involve guided reading of publicly available documents, facilitated group discussion, and structured reference materials.
Nothing presented in our programmes constitutes financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or any form of regulated service under the Securities and Futures Act (Cap. 289), the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110), or any other applicable Singapore legislation. Facilitators are not licensed financial advisers. No product recommendations are offered or implied.
2. Eligibility
Estrelva programmes are open to adults aged 40 and above residing in or visiting Singapore. Participation by individuals below 40 may be considered at our discretion with prior written arrangement. We reserve the right to decline enrolment where a cohort has reached capacity or where, in our reasonable judgement, a programme is not a suitable match for the applicant's stated objectives.
3. Enrolment and Confirmation
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full programme fees. Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute a binding enrolment. We will contact you within three business days of your enquiry to discuss schedule and availability. A programme place is held only once payment is received and a written confirmation has been issued by Estrelva.
4. Programme Fees
- Singapore Retirement Schemes Reading Group — S$870 per participant
- Household Budget Reading Workshop — S$185 per participant
- Personal Document Reading Circle — S$280 per participant
Fees are stated in Singapore Dollars and are inclusive of all programme materials (printed binder, vocabulary cards, workbooks, and supplementary reference sheets where applicable). Fees do not include travel to and from the venue, or any personal stationery the participant may choose to bring.
5. Cancellations and Transfers
Cancellation by participant
- Cancellations received more than 14 calendar days before the first session: full refund, less a S$25 administrative fee
- Cancellations received 8–14 calendar days before the first session: 50% refund of programme fees
- Cancellations received 7 or fewer calendar days before the first session: no refund
Transfers
A confirmed place may be transferred to another eligible individual (aged 40 and above) provided written notice is given no fewer than 7 calendar days before the first session. One transfer per enrolment is permitted at no charge; subsequent transfers incur a S$25 administrative fee.
Cancellation by Estrelva
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a programme in the event of insufficient enrolment, facilitator unavailability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, enrolled participants will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to the next available cohort of the same programme.
6. Session Attendance
For multi-session programmes, we ask that participants attend all scheduled sessions. Where a participant misses a session due to unforeseen circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a brief written summary of the session's key reading points. Missed sessions do not entitle a participant to a partial refund or a reduced fee.
We ask that participants arrive on time and engage respectfully with other cohort members and with the facilitator. Estrelva reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session if their conduct is disruptive to other participants.
7. Programme Materials
Materials provided as part of each programme — including printed binders, workbooks, vocabulary cards, spreadsheet templates, and glossary sheets — are for the personal use of the enrolled participant only. They may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Estrelva. Materials are based on publicly available sources current at the time of printing; Estrelva does not warrant that materials remain current after the date of the programme.
8. Limitation of Liability
Estrelva's programmes are educational. We make no representation that participation will lead to any particular financial outcome, decision, or course of action. Participants are responsible for their own financial and personal decisions. Estrelva's liability to any participant is limited to the programme fee paid by that participant.
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Estrelva excludes liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from participation in or reliance on any aspect of our programmes or materials.
9. Intellectual Property
The Estrelva name, all programme materials produced by Estrelva, and the structure and design of our reading programmes are the intellectual property of Estrelva. Publicly available source documents referenced or reproduced in programme materials remain the property of their respective issuers (CPF Board, MAS, HDB, and other Singapore public-sector bodies) and are used under fair dealing provisions for educational purposes.
10. Personal Data
We collect and use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012. By enrolling in a programme, you consent to our use of your contact details for programme administration and correspondence.
11. Photographs and Recordings
Estrelva does not photograph or record sessions without the prior written consent of all participants. Where consent is given for a particular use, photographs and recordings will not be used for any other purpose. Participants may not audio-record or video-record sessions without the prior written agreement of Estrelva and all other participants present.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. We encourage participants to raise any concern with us directly before seeking formal resolution; we will make reasonable efforts to address concerns promptly and fairly.
13. Amendments
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of enrolment confirmation will govern that enrolment. Changes to these terms will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and will apply to enrolments confirmed after the effective date.
